How far would you go to prevent cancer? Emily shares that when she found out her dad had cancer all she could do was cry. Emily’s grandmother and her father were both positive for the CDH1 gene mutation, which gives you an 80 percent chance of getting stomach cancer, and Emily tested and she was positive as well. After watching her father struggle to fight cancer, and eventually pass away, she decided to get her stomach removed. She shares she has no regrets. Surgical oncologist Dr. Jeremy Davis supports Emily’s decision to remove her stomach based on her genetic results.
