Nutritionist Dr. Melina Jampolis shares that people with prediabetes do particularly well with fasting regimens. She shares initial research shows that people who are insulin resistant actually do better with some degree of fasting, but diabetics who take medication could be causing harm to themselves and should consult their doctor before trying. Fasting is also not recommended for kids or the elderly.
