Playing Utah Kid Banned from School Over Diabetes Treatment?

The parents of an 8-year-old Utah boy are suing the school district because their son has been kept out of school due to a dispute over his diabetes treatment. His mom wants to be able to fill the syringes at home and let her son inject them as needed throughout the day. The school district disagrees and shares that the syringes need to be filled by a pharmacist and given by the school nurse. Attorney and clinical psychologist Lisa Strohman sheds some light on the topic.
