A new study out of Japan found that the influenza A virus was sometimes still active after being exposed to an ethanol-based hand sanitizer. The Doctors share that washing your hands is by far better than using hand sanitizer, but if you can’t get to a sink and wash your hands, hand sanitizer is still a better backup than nothing.
