Recent research suggests that COVID-19 survivors may experience more damage to their heart than to their lungs. Critical care and cardiothoracic anesthesia fellow at Harvard Dr. David Convissar came down with COVID and he wasn’t feeling well and found out his heart wasn’t performing as it should. He shares that some people are developing inflammation of the heart tissue and that is inhibiting the heart’s ability to pump. If this has happened to you, please talk to your doctor before getting back to any exercise routine.
