Clinical psychologist Dr. Judy Ho shares that an easy way to combat feeling overwhelmed by the COVID-19 pandemic is to choose optimism, which she shares starts with gratitude. She suggests saying out loud three small things that you’re grateful for today and spending a few minutes visualizing a more positive future. Research has shown that this helps turn negative thinking into positive thoughts. She also shares that it is normal to have negative thoughts, and when you do ask yourself, “Is this thought accurate, complete, and balanced.”
