A new study by the Environmental Working Group found that potentially harmful chemicals known as PFAs may be found in our water at a much higher rate than previously thought. Toxicologist Dr. Noreen Khan-Mayberry shares that we should be worried about these findings. They are called “forever chemicals” because these plastics do not break down and we are exposed to them on a daily basis. They have been linked to thyroid problems, cancer, and liver issues. She shares the most common source is firefighting foam.
