A new study from researchers at the University of British Columbia analyzed over 125,000 patients. In the group, some were prescribed fluoroquinolones, some amoxicillin, and some azithromycin, and the study found that those who took fluoroquinolones had double the chance of developing a leaky valve in their heart after a short course of just 7-10 days on the drug.
