Dr. Phil recently went to Capitol Hill and met with Congressman Fred Upton and Congresswoman Diana DeGette to discuss the 21st Century Cures Act, critical legislation that will accelerate the cycle of discovering, developing, and delivering new cures and treatments for diseases like cancer and diabetes.

“This is a bipartisan bill that we passed in the House last summer and it expedites, streamlines the procedure to improve drugs and devices, so we can find the cures for diabetes to cancer to you name it,” Congressman Upton tells Dr. Phil. Representative DeGette adds, “We can actually speed up clinical trials so that we can get cures to patients much more quickly, and it has billions of dollars for research into diseases for which we don’t have cures, like diabetes, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.”

“This is something that can impact your life or mine,” says Dr. Phil, who was diagnosed with diabetes 25 years ago. Act now! Download the letter here and send it to your Senator today to help get the bill passed.
