Coconut Butter Recipes

The Doctors share three recipes using coconut butter that can benefit your body — inside and out!

Coconut Butter Oatmeal Soothing Face Mask

Ingredients:

•  1/4 cup coconut butter
• 
3 tablespoons finely ground oatmeal
• 
1 teaspoon honey
• 
1 teaspoon aloe vera gel
• 
1 teaspoon plain yogurt (optional)
  1 teaspoon cucumber juice (optional)

Instructions: 

1. Blend well and apply to skin for ten minutes 

2. Gently rinse off

 Coconut Butter Hair Mask

Ingredients: 

•  2 tablespoons coconut butter
• 
1 tablespoon honey
•  Extra
 virgin olive oil
• 
1 egg

Instructions: 

1. Mix all ingredients together to form a thick consistency 

2. Spray hair with a mixture of olive oil and water 

3. Apply mask evenly throughout the hair 

4. Leave on hair for 30-40 minutes, then rinse out

Coco-Peanut Butter Fudge 

Ingredients:

•  2 tablespoons peanut butter
• 
2 tablespoons coconut butter
• 
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
• 
80g very ripe banana (1/2 medium-sized banana)
• 
1/6 teaspoon salt (add a dash more if using unsalted peanut butter)
• 
Optional: Feel free to add a little sweetener if your bananas aren’t ripe enough.

Instructions: 

1. Combine all ingredients in a food processor or blender 

2. Scoop into a container and place in the refrigerator or freezer until firm
