Plastic surgeon Dr. Andrew Ordon notes that there are aficionados out there who think there are health benefits to drinking your own urine, but drinking a dog’s?! ER physician Dr. Travis Stork says drinking your urine is not a pleasant task although, he’d drink his own urine if he were in the desert about to die of dehydration!

Dr. Nita acknowledges that acne can be frustrating which is why people will turn to anything to try and help it but she promises there are better options – gels, creams, antibiotics, hormonal birth control – than drinking dog urine. She also says this story illustrates how lies can spread like wildfire on the internet.

Dr. Travis adds that dogs could be outside after someone sprays a herbicide or pesticide, and as they do, licking or ingesting things like grass. These chemicals could then get into the dogs' urine and if you’re drinking that urine… it’s not good.
