To avoid sagging breasts, do you need to wear a bra while sleeping?
The Doctors welcome OB/GYN Dr. Evelyn Minay, who says the COVID-19 pandemic has caused many ladies to wear their bras much less, with 46 percent of women saying they ditched it at least once a week. Family physician Dr. Jen Caudle is among these 46 percent and she shares, "I don't wear a bra unless I have to."
If you do not wear a bra, do you run the risk of your breasts sagging or drooping?
Dr. Minay says this is a myth. "Not wearing a bra does not and will not make your breasts droop." She explains factors like breastfeeding, weight gain and loss, genetics and aging can contribute to dropping over time.
What about wearing a bra in bed is that ever a good idea? Dr. Minay notes some women with larger breasts might feel better wearing a bra to sleep in, but she notes a bra worn to sleep in should never be tight or have a wire.
