The Doctors issue a strong warning against the online viral claim that using peeled cucumber can help cleanse the vagina.

They explain that some claim that using cucumber for 20 minutes can clean the area, provide a "pleasant aroma" and even reduce the risk of STDs, but the panel strongly warns against these claims.

OB/GYN Dr. Nita Landry explains this will in no way protect against STDs and she says this could lead to tears in the body, which can increase your risk of infections.

She also notes this could decrease the presence of good bacteria, along with the cucumber possibly having pathogens or fungus on it. She also warns that cucumber could break apart during the cleanse.
