The Doctors are back at it, weighing in on some new beauty trends. The first is a shampoo bar. The Doctors all rave about how good it smells. OB/GYN Dr. Nita Landry says this is very much a “buzz!”
There are many benefits to this bar. It doesn’t have the preservatives that are found in liquid shampoo, it’s concentrated so you need to use less, it’s easy to pack, and it’s good for the environment. Additionally, one bar is equal to three bottles of shampoo! It’s also organic so it’s not going to strip the hair.
Plastic surgeon Dr. Andrew Ordon shares the next item which is a hot chili slimming gel. The gel is made up of red chili peppers and natural bee glue and you are supposed to rub it into areas with excess fat and cellulite. The product claims the red pepper is going to melt fat, but Dr. Ordon says, “Not going to happen… this product is a bust!”
Dr. Ordon says there are temporary cellulite solutions like massages or coffee wraps which stimulate circulation and this pepper gel could possibly do the same, but again, this will not burn fat!
