The Doctors discuss a new dating app that wants you to swab instead of swipe!
The app matches people using someone’s pheromones that are processed from a cheek swab. The creators of the app claim there are 11 pheromones linked to attraction, which the company says is used to determine matches.
“I don’t know if I buy it,” ER physician Dr. Travis Stork says of the concept. The company says a user’s DNA is destroyed after it is tested, but he says he feels uncomfortable giving his DNA to dating app company.
The Doctors says they believe in the science of pheromones, but question if the science behind creating potential relationships based on pheromones is there just yet.
Would you use your DNA in hopes of finding your next relationship?
