The Doctors share a video of a girl whose heart literally beats outside of her chest!

They explain she has a rare congenital syndrome called Pentalogy of Cantrell, which can affect the muscle that separates the chest cavity from the abdomen. In the case of this young girl, the rare condition allows her heart to be seen beating through the skin.

Pentalogy of Cantrell is very rare and only occurs in just 5.5 individuals per 1 million people.

The Doctors share that the 7-year-old used to live in Russia, but now lives in Florida. They say that Florida's warm weather might be better for the girl's health. They note that doctors ware waiting to perform surgery on the girl until some of her other health concerns like hypertension are dealt with.
