Cleaning expert Melissa Maker, star of the YouTube channel “Clean My Space,” tells The Doctors it is possible to keep your bathroom clean without having to do a deep cleaning.
The bathroom can end up being the messiest and dirtiest room in your home, but Melissa's tips can help keep this space sparkling.
Keep Surfaces Clear
"Just have the absolutes necessities on your bathroom counter, like hand soap and a hand towel," she shares, suggesting to keep things like oral care and hair care products and tools stowed way in drawers and cupboards. "Everything needs to have a place and there has to be a place for everything," she adds.
Have a Cleaning Kit in Your Bathroom
In her kit, she has baking soda, a good quality sponge, an all-purpose cleaner, a squeegee, and micro-fiber cloths. She says having a kit in the bathroom helps her handle small messes quickly.
Clean As You Go
To avoid a mess buildup, she says to make cleaning part of your time in the bathroom. For example, if you squeegee after every shower it will leave your shower free of soap scum and hard water and will likely only take an extra minute of your time.
