Makeup maven Bobbi Brown joins her friend physician Dr. Ian Smith to discuss the many pivots in the entrepreneur's career.
Starting as a makeup artist she then developed 10 lipstick shades that developed into her own beauty empire. Bobbi is an author, professional speaker, owner of a boutique hotel in Montclair, New Jersey, and a mom to three, which she shares, "It wasn't easy. It was always a mess. I mean that's just what it's like working and having kids."
After leaving her billion-dollar beauty brand in 2016, she became a health coach and launched Evolution_18, a line of beauty inspired wellness products. She shares, "What's fun for me an entrepreneur and businesswoman, I'm able to kind of figure things out and try things that have never been done." From collagen, protein powders, probiotics, and supplements her new brand is built on feeling better from the inside out.
In addition to Evolution_18, she started the digital magazine JustBOBBI, where you can find advice, beauty tips, fitness, and recipes like Mia Rigden's Matchado Collagen Smoothie.
Bobbi shares with Dr. Smith some of her entrepreneur secrets like "Don't believe in failure" sharing, "It's just a message that says do something else." She also jokes that she's very naive because she doesn't see things not working out. She shares, "Whatever you do, you have to keep at it."
