The singer-songwriter is working with Music Health Alliance, a charitable organization that helps music industry professionals pay their medical bills, something that is so important during the pandemic.
"There are so many people in this business that are struggling right now, so the need is pretty big... everyone is coming together to try and help out the community," Dierks says, noting there are so many people behind the scenes in the music industry that have been affected by shutdowns and layoffs.
He says numerous artists and professionals depend on Music Health Alliance in order to get their medical insurance, and it has been "a game-changer for so many people." In addition to coming to people's aid during the pandemic, the group also helped with recovery after the recent destructive tornadoes devastated parts of Tennessee.
One of those musicians is singer-songwriter Fancy Hagood, whose home was destroyed by the severe weather and nearly all of his belongings and car were lost. Fancy had to completely start over and Music Health Alliance was there to help him put his life back together.
