Coronavirus: US Surpasses 1 Million Reported Cases

The United States has surpassed 1 million reported coronavirus cases.

The grim milestone was reached on 4/28/2020 with 1,002,498 reported cases, per Johns Hopkins University.

The hardest-hit areas have been the counties of Queens, Kings, Bronx, Nassau, and Suffolk in the New York City area, followed by Cook County in Chicago, Westchester County in New York, and the county of Los Angeles. Other counties with large numbers of cases include New York County, Wayne County (Detroit), Bergen County (New Jersey), Hudson County (New York), and Essex County (New York).

The coronavirus/COVID-19 death toll in America has reached 57,266 as of 4/28/202.

Around the globe, 213,823 have died from the virus with 3,083,467 reported cases.
