"Bachelor" alum and former football player Colton Underwood shares his scary reality as a healthy young guy who ran out of air just walking to the bathroom as he battled for his life with COVID-19. Colton describes his severe chills, night sweats and the panic-driven night he woke up gasping for air. The 28-year-old shares his emotional journey through the different stages of his sickness and how his girlfriend, Cassie, and her family helped play a role in his recovery process. He has now been tested three times and is all clear and learning how he can donate his plasma to help others that are battling it.
Colton is forthcoming about being confused about his own sexual identity in the past and admits he and Cassie are still working on building their relationship. With a new podcast and an upcoming book on the horizon, he says that writing has helped him to take control of his life and see the silver lining in tough situations.
