ER physician Dr. Travis Stork explains that according to a recent study a lower carb diet reduced hidden fat deposits around the heart and shrunk waistlines when compared to a low-fat diet. The study also found that eating high-fat foods could reduce someone's body fat.
The Doctors note that the fatty foods they are referring to are things like avocados, nuts, and seeds. ER physician Dr. Travis Stork also notes the quality of the fatty foods is important.

They also explain that when it comes to carbohydrates it is not items like cookies, ice cream and fries that you should be eating, but food like oatmeal, whole-grains, fruits, and vegetables. Ultimately when it comes to what you eat, The Doctors suggest the best approach is consuming a well-balanced diet that covers all the major food groups.
