The Doctors share the results of a study that found consuming alcohol within 4 hours of sleep is more likely to disturb sleep than drinking something containing caffeine. The study also discovered that nicotine was even more disruptive to someone's sleep.
The panel also notes that drinking more than 1 serving of alcohol can amplify sleep issues. Both Dr. Travis Stork and Dr. Andrew Ordon note they can have a small amount of caffeine in the evening and say it will not affect their sleep much, but they both reveal that if they drink too much alcohol, they will have trouble sleeping.
