The Missouri woman reportedly thought she had water stuck in her ear and heard swooshing noises, but when she went to see a doctor about it, a brown recluse spider was removed from inside her ear canal.
ENT Dr. Andrew Ordon says he has removed bugs from people's ear, but never a spider.
Amazingly, the spider did not bite the woman. The Doctors note that a bite from this type of spider can lead to tissue necrosis. Dr. Ordon explains a bite inside the ear by a brown recluse would be a "big problem."
