Turmeric is an age-old spice that could possibly reverse liver damage and combat Alzheimer’s disease. Often in savory dishes, this spice is now trending in places like Los Angeles, where you can find it added to your coffee drink! The Doctors sip on turmeric lattes and while plastic surgeon Dr. Andrew Ordon and ER physician Dr. Travis Stork comment that they like it, OB/GYN Dr. Nita Landy keeps mum!
Dr. Travis says curcumin is the powerful antioxidant in turmeric that has a host of health benefits. He says he usually adds turmeric to his eggs. Since the spice can be bitter, he says it is often paired with cinnamon, ground ginger, or in the case of this latte, honey. To try it out at home, check out the turmeric latte recipe here!
