Nipple Reduction

The nipple is the pigmented, protruding portion on the surface of the breast. The surrounding area of pigmentation is the areola. Nipple reduction is a procedure designed to reshape or reduce the size of the nipple, and can also be combined with an areola reduction. The procedure is sometimes performed in conjunction with breast augmentation, reduction or lift surgery. The surgery usually requires local anesthesia and takes approximately 30 to 60 minutes to complete.
