Dermatologist Dr. Sonia Batra shares the best and most effective ways to remove your makeup before going to bed. She suggests the following makeup removal hacks:
Use a microfiber cloth: She says when you wet the cloth the electrostatic attraction between the makeup ions and the fabric will remove the makeup more easily.
Do a double cleanse: First use an oil-based cleanser to remove oil-based makeup and then use a water-based cleanser to help remove any excess residue.
Use a non-waterproof mascara: She shares that this type of mascara is much easier to remove at the end of the day. She suggests using the waterproof type of mascara for days at the beach or for a special day like a wedding.
