The cold temperatures and dry air can wreak havoc on your body, but there are steps you can take to combat the effects of winter.

Dermatologist Dr. Sonia Batra suggests increasing the number of fatty acids you consume and to also eat more foods that hydrate from the inside. She also says to increase your skin moisturizer and hair conditioner use.

The Doctors also recommend not forgetting to use your sunblock with ample SPF this holiday season, as it might be cold but the sun can still do its damage.

Of course, the holiday season can also bring some unwanted stress. The Doctors share that according to a study simply cozying up next to a crackling fire can lower your blood pressure. And if you do not have a fireplace, research suggests that watching a video of a fire can have the same effect.
