Clinical psychologist Dr. Judy Ho says each couple's frequency of sex differs and according to research about 20 percent of couples in their 20s tend to have sex twice a week. She says that the rates decrease with each decade in age.
While The Doctors say sex is an important part of a relationship, they also note that it is just one aspect of it.
In order to improve your sex life with your partner, Dr. Judy recommends:
- Spend quality time together, which often leads to intimacy
- Make time to physically connect without the pressure of having sex
- If an extended period of time without sex goes by, she recommends seeking guidance from a therapist or professional
ER physician Dr. Travis Stork notes that sexual health is important because it can relate to our overall health.
