Most everyone has dealt with constipation at one point or another, but imagine being constipated for 22 years!

The Doctors welcome proctologist Dr. David Rosenfeld to discuss the case of a man who had 30 pounds of feces and three feet of his intestines removed. The man was dealing with a birth defect that caused the waste to accumulate over the years.

Dr. Rosenfeld explains that the man was most likely able to go to the bathroom prior to the surgery and he thinks the issue was not known about for years and until his colon began to grow. He explains the man was lucky the growth did not rupture, as it could have been deadly.

Luckily, The Doctors note this man's case is rare and not going to the bathroom for a few days would not likely mean this problem is occurring.
