"Shahs of Sunset" star Reza Farahan is barely recognizable during his visit to The Doctors. The reality star lost his trademark mustache along with 40 pounds!
So how did the star -- who is not shy about enjoying a good meal and a few drinks on his hit Bravo series -- drop the pounds? Reza reveals that his inspiration to lose weight came when a client of his asked when he had given up on life, referring to his weight. While this comment might seem harsh, Reza says it inspired him to make major lifestyle changes.
"I have a finite amount of time and before it is too late and it doesn't matter anymore, where I can get my [old body] back," he says.
The reality star explains there were "zero tricks" to losing the weight. He sought out a nutritionist, who designed a plan for him on what he could eat and how many calories he needs to burn each day.
One food tip that worked for him was eating carrots. Reza tells The Doctors he eats 2 large whole carrots 3 times a day. He finds them to be filling, along with providing some crunch, sweetness, and plenty of fiber. "It will keep you regular," he adds.
Check out the video below to find out Reza's take on tattoos, athleisure clothes, and man-buns. See more of Reza on "Shahs of Sunset," airing Sundays at 8 PM on Bravo.
