The Doctors are bringing the islands of Tahiti and all of its health secrets to the mainland!
Plastic surgeon Dr. Andrew Ordon visited the island paradise to discover how island life and it’s many resources can help improve your health.
A large part of Tahitian life includes enjoying the island nation’s phenomenal nature offerings. Dr. Ordon goes on a hike with local Yvette, where he learns about many of the island’s natural plants, including, breadfruit tree, wild basil, red ginger and he also notes that a hike like this can help them burn from 400 to 600 calories.
After enjoying a refreshing coconut juice break straight from the tree, Dr. Odon heads out on the water in an outrigger canoe for some more exercise. The activity works his shoulders, back, and core. He follows it up with a massage using oil from the tiarre flower, which can help soothe sore muscles and joints.
And for an adrenaline rush, which can help reboot your system with more blood flow, an expansion of the air passages in the lungs, and speeds up the body's metabolism, Dr. Odron goes swimming with the sharks and stingrays - and he did it without a cage!
