A spiritual healer in rural Bosnia claims that she can cure blindness and vision impairments by directly licking the eyeball. Known locally as Nana Hava, this 80-year-old woman also claims to be the only person in the world to heal with her tongue.
By licking the eyeball, she claims her tongue is removing impurities like lead, iron, glass, coal, & sawdust. She sterilizes her mouth and then she licks the eyeball. The footage is incredible!
Plastic surgeon Dr. Andrew Ordon exclaims, "I've never heard of such a thing!" He also points out that there are easier ways to remove particles from one's eyes, like rinsing them out with sterile water. ER physician Dr. Travis Stork says, "If there's something going on here that is mystical and it works, all power to her!"
Is this something that you should try? The biggest thing to be afraid of, according to Dr. Ordon, is the transmittal of herpes from someone's mouth to your eye. Dr. Stork adds, "I would not try this at home, but whatever floats your boat."
