Is it possible to erase stretch marks in less than 60 minutes? The Doctors put a new procedure to the test!
Dermatologist Dr. Sonia Batra is joined by color infusion specialist Dominique Bossavy to find out if a procedure similar to tattooing can help Khamilia camouflage her stretch marks on her abdomen area.
The process involves injecting pigment that matches a person’s skin tone to help hide the discoloring caused by the marks, thus making them blend into the skin better.
But does the procedure hurt at all? According to Khamilia, she says, “It feels fine,” and compares the injection to the feeling of a scratch. Dominique recommends getting 2 treatments, 3 to 4 weeks apart, and explains that it should usually last for up to 5 years or longer.
The cost of the stretch mark procedure will vary depending on the size of the area, but on average each area will cost $1500.
