Could a Micro Neck Lift Work for You?

Playing Could a Micro Neck Lift Be Right for You?

After nine seasons of bringing you the latest and greatest procedures to slow down the hands of time, urologist Dr. Jennifer Berman has stuck her neck out to take one for the team by getting a micro neck lift.

"I'm really self-conscious about my aging neck, " says Dr. Berman. On camera, she has been wearing tape to keep her sagging neck skin held back. Dr. Berman meets with facial plastic surgeon Dr. Kian Karimi to discuss her options for getting rid of the neck skin that causes her to feel self-conscious.

Dr. Karimi suggests a micro neck lift, which uses an endoscope camera to go under the muscles to help naturally lift the lower face and neck. Dr. Karimi is focusing on two areas, the jaw line and the platysma neck muscle. He makes an incision by each ear, which he uses to pull up the neck and the lower jaw line. He also uses the halo laser to target her sun damage.

We follow Dr. Karimi as he performs the procedure on Dr. Berman, and it's not for the faint of heart. But the before and after results are amazing.

Plastic surgeon Dr. Andrew Ordon exclaims, "You've gained, I think, ten years!" And ER physician Dr. Travis Stork is really impressed with the before and after pics from the results of the Halo laser, which targeted her sun damage saying, "Your skin tone looks 20 years younger!"

Dr. Berman was the ideal patient for the micro neck lift being that she's younger, fit, and didn't have a lot to repair. Dr. Karimi shares who might not be the right candidate stating, "If someone has a lot of extra redundant skin or heavy platysma bands that really hang there, probably not a candidate for the micro neck lift."
