The Doctors investigate a product that claims to help with back pain in less than an hour without the need for medications or surgery.
With 80 percent of adults experiencing lower back pain at some point in their life, ER physician Dr. Travis Stork thinks many could benefit from the use of an electrical stimulator, which is available at local drug stores and costs around $50 dollars. We enlisted the help of three participants who used the device for 30 minutes.
“It sends electric currents to your skin and stimulates the nerves that can cause pain,” he explains, saying it can help with different types of inflammation.
A more natural approach to back pain can be found in turmeric. Dr. Storks likes the at-home remedy for its anti-inflammatory properties. He says he takes these supplements to help with back pain from time to time. The Doctors also note that it can help with a hangover and is also good for your skin.
