Are you doing enough Kegel exercises? If not, the secret to better pelvic floor muscles might be in the form of an egg.
The Doctors weigh in on yoni eggs, egg-shaped stones that when inserted into the body and held in place for hours are said to help improve your pelvic muscles, which can reportedly improve female health, reduce bladder leakage and help with sexual functions. But does better pelvic control mean you have to keep a stone inside you all day?
OB/GYN Dr. Jennifer Ashton notes that yoni eggs are not the only way to exercise your Kegel muscles. “The way you do it the traditional way [without these eggs] is to tighten the muscles you would use if you were stopping the flow of urine. If done properly, you shouldn’t be bouncing up and down on your seat. You can do it while you’re driving, while you’re on the bus, while you’re in class.”
Urologist Dr. Jennifer Berman says that Kegel health is not only for women, noting they can help men with erectile function, bladder control, potency and stamina.
Tell us, would you be inclined to try out a yoni egg for better Kegel health or just stick with the traditional exercise?
