Reconstructive surgeon Dr. Red Alinsod explains a new procedure that promises vaginal rejuvenation without using a knife.
“It stops leaking. It improves texture and tone and moisture, and improves the sensitivity in tissues that we treat,” he says.
Urologist Dr. Jennifer Berman adds, "This really is an important subject that a lot of woman struggle with. A, how it looks down there, and B, how it feels down there as we age."
Grace, 58, who undergoes the anti-aging procedure during the show, reveals whether she’s satisfied with the results.
The procedure costs $3,500 to $6,500 for a series of three treatments, and Dr. Alinsod recommends having maintenance treatments once or twice a year.
OB-GYN Dr. Jennifer Ashton notes that vaginal rejuvenation is a controversial procedure.
"There are doctors who believe it's a slippery slope and that we shouldn't be sending the message that there's an ideal feminine aesthetic," Dr. Ashton says. "I take the opposing view that this is 2015. These are modern times. If you don't like your nose, and you want to have a nose job, if you don't like your labia, and you want to get that fixed, this is all on your body and you should have the prerogative to do that."
Dr. Berman can't wait to try the procedure herself. "How could I not get it?" she says. "It's priceless to me." See Dr. Berman after the procedure and find out if she's happy with her results.
