Country music superstar Tim McGraw is challenging the 30 million Americans who live with diabetes to set and reach goals to maintain their blood glucose, or A1C, levels.
You can help reduce your risk of serious complications, such as heart disease, blindness, kidney failure and stroke, by managing your A1C level. But one-third of adults living with diabetes are not at their goal A1C level. The A1C goal for many adults with diabetes is less than 7 percent, but you should see your doctor to set an individual goal that’s right for you.
Watch the video above to learn about the personal reason driving Tim to help those with diabetes.
