The Cause of Crooked Male Anatomy

With more men seeking treatment for erectile dysfunction in recent years, urologists across the U.S. have marked an increase in the diagnosis of Peyronie’s disease — an embarrassing and often painful condition that causes a mild to severe curvature of the penis.

“It really is a very devastating condition because, outside of surgery, there’s very little that is effective,” explains board-certified urologist Dr. Aaron Spitz. “And there’s not a lot of people who do this surgery very well. So, most men kind of languish, and they can be depressed, and it can really take over their whole life experience or self-image.”
