Medical Confessional
From behind a privacy screen, an anonymous guest explains that she has suffered with painful cysts inside her vagina for years. Despite treatment, she says the cysts keep coming back, causing her pain and discomfort. She asks The Doctors what she can do to prevent the recurring cysts and what treatments are available now.

Urologist Dr. Jennifer Berman surmises that the guest is most likely suffering from Bartholin cysts. She further explains that every woman has Bartholin glands on both sides of the vaginal opening, which secrete fluid to lubricate the area. When the duct to the gland becomes blocked, fluid can back up into the gland, leading to an abscess.

Dr. Berman explains the treatment options for Bartholin cysts. "Any cyst or mass in the vulva or area needs to be checked out by a doctor," she says. "In this case, it is an infection, but we want to make sure there isn't malignancy or cancer."

Blurred Lines
Dr. Travis heads into the audience to answer questions. He meets Rica, a young woman whose left eye gets blurry for months at a time and then returns to normal, only to go blurry again months later. Rica says she's been experiencing this temporary, recurring blurred vision for about 10 years and was told by a doctor that the condition was caused by stress.

Dr. Travis isn't convinced that stress is the underlying cause and calls ophthalmologist Dr. Brian Boxer Wachler for a second opinion.

Dr. Boxer Wachler shares the common causes of blurred vision and offers to see Rica at his office for an exam.

Birthing Simulator
Would you know what to do if a pregnant woman suddenly went into labor? OB-GYN Dr. Courtenay Poucher joins the show to teach an expectant couple what to do if labor starts at an inopportune moment.

Using a birthing simulator called the MamaNatalie®, which provides comprehensive and realistic training in labor and delivery, Dr. Poucher goes through the steps of labor with the couple and teaches them how to keep a newborn safe and warm while waiting for emergency services to arrive.

"Anyone out there who has a loved one who's expecting, just having some of these simple steps ... can really come in handy in that emergency situation," says Dr. Travis.
