Joy Bauer’s Nutrition Tips
Joy Bauer, top diet and nutrition expert on The Today Show and author of The Joy Fit Club, joins The Doctors to discuss how the calorie counts on certain “health foods” may actually be causing you to gain weight.

Leslie, 40, first appeared on The Doctors in October of 2011 after being referred by The Dr. Phil Show . At the time, Leslie was tipping the scales at 360 pounds. She made a commitment to improving her health and created a video blog to document the trials and tribulations of her weight-loss journey. Seven months later, Leslie joins The Doctors again to show the remarkable progress she’s made.

Leslie explains how she lost 100 pounds with a healthy diet, exercise and the assistance of her physical therapist, Dee Cochran.

“The support system is key,” Leslie says. “You’ve got to have somebody in your corner cheering you on [and] telling you [that] you can do it – because you can do it. If I can do it, anybody can do it.

“If you just keep with it, it does change your mindset,” she says. “I still have weight to lose, but there are people out there who are in the same prison that I was in and I want to help them break free and get out of it.”
