Dr. Bill Dorfman Breaks Record for Most Money Raised for Charity through Head Shaving
(Los Angeles, California,) — Celebrity cosmetic dentist Dr. Bill Dorfman has been recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records for "Most Money Raised for a Charity Through Head Shaving by an Individual."
Most recognized for captivating millions on the hit show, Extreme Makeover, and currently a recurring guest co-host on The Doctors; Dr. Bill Dorfman is Co-Founder of The LEAP Foundation (Leadership Excellence Accelerating Potential) — a non-profit organization that helps high school and college students gain valuable life skills through a summer mentorship program. In an effort to raise awareness and aide the students in the program, Dr. Bill announced that he would shave his head if donors could raise $100,000 or more.
Expectations and hopes were exceeded when the total funds raised equaled $121,000, which was revealed on the set of the set of the Emmy Award-winning daytime talk show, The Doctors, as popular host ER physician Dr. Travis Stork brought Dr. Bill on stage and shaved his head in front of a live audience.
