Chicken Parmesan Recipe

This chicken parmesan recipe is one of the most popular posted by The Doctors' community members.

Ingredients:
• 1 pound chicken cut into chunks or strips
• 2 eggs beaten or 4 egg whites beaten with 4 tablespoons water
• 1/2 cup fat-free parmesan cheese
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/4 teaspoon pepper
• 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1/2 tablespoon Italian seasoning (or a mix of oregano and basil)
• 2 tablespoons oil
• 1 and 1/2 cups low-sugar or sugar-free marinara sauce
• 1/2 cup fat-free mozzerella cheese
• 1/4 cup fat-free parmesan cheese

Directions:
1. Dredge chicken in egg.
2. Shake in a quart bag with the parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
3. Cook in hot oil until just browned but not cooked through.
4. Place in greased baking pan.
5. Top with marinara sauce.
6. Sprinkle with mozzerella and parmesan cheese.
7. Cover with foil and bake at 350 for 20 minutes or until chicken is cooked through.
