Where did the time go? The first two cycles seem to have flown by, I would have never believed it. In the 34 days of cycles one and two I have lost a total of 27.2 pounds and 16 inches! I'm amazed at it myself. This past week was a little slower, only 2.2 pounds down, but that is fine. As long as the scale continues to go down, I'm happy. Since I last measured two weeks ago, I have lost an additional two inches from my hips, a half inch from my arms, an inch from my thighs and another half inch from my waist. That is progress and the main reason why I recommend to everyone that they measure as well as weigh. I have been exercising a lot, so I am quite sure I am building muscle, I can feel it, so the slight loss from a weight perspective does not alarm me.
It's funny how the body has "muscle memory". The last time I went on a major weight loss effort, about two years ago, I lost 40 pounds before a trip to Mexico. I was working out a lot and now after just a few weeks now back at the gym, my body is responding so quickly it is unbelievable. I can feel my abdomen going down, the crunches are getting easier every day as is the treadmill work. Every time I feel it getting easier, I add a bit more - more reps, a faster pace or higher incline on the treadmill and/or a few more minutes. Something. I know my body, if I do not finish my workout a red faced, sweaty mess, it's not enough. I have to sweat to lose, that simple. One of the main reasons I chose a female only gym! LOL
I am a bit nervous about cycle three but I trust Dr. Moreno, he's not let me down so far. I'll stick with it and add the complex carbs and hopefully my metabolism will react as he intends and start burning carbs instead of storing them. I am worried about slowing down even more, but I will continue to push myself at the gym to make up for it. Have a great week everyone!

YOU GO GIRL... Congrats on the 27.2 pounds (and inches) in 34 days. That is great success. You're right about how the time is starting to fly by. Cycle 1 was a little slow for me even though my weight drop was very exciting, but Cycle 2 --- where did it go? I am on my last day of Cycle 2. I have lost 19 pounds so far and will probably hit my goal of 20 lbs tomorrow morning as I start Cycle 3. What areas do you include in the inches calculation - is it just the normal 3 (bust, waist, hips) or do you include thighs, arms, belly, shoulders? BTW - I though you Knucks measured in kg and cm? But thanks for the American translation. LOL
Way to Go! I am so proud of you! I start on cycle 3 Thursday and am down 21 pounds. Let us know how it goes. I am a couple of days behind you and I hope we continue to be right on target until we reach our goals. I am also nervous about cycle 3, and hope cycle 1 will work as good as it did the first time. All I know is I am in a MUCH better place than I was over 5 weeks ago.
Do you know if we keep up with the increase exercise when we go back to cycle 1? I know it is over 3 weeks away for me, but I was wondering what you think.
Hi sherylk: I measure waist, hips, full bust, ribcage under the bust (gives you a good indication of back fat loss! LOL), upper arm and thigh. And yes, we Canucks usually use kg's but for most of us I think our own weight is still in pounds - (most of the scales have both) - besides, it takes longer to lose one kg than one pound! One kg is 2.2 pounds - yikes.
Hi annie: I'm torn about the exercise when I get back to cycle one. On the one hand, I am really getting used to it and would have to back off now, but on the other, I know I won't be taking in enough calories to sustain the level I am working out at currently. I think I will just have to play it by ear, try to do what I normally do and if I don't feel well back off a bit.
fabulous!!! you are doing amazing...you rock...go girl, go girl..!!!
