I've now been on the plan for a full two weeks, I am down 16.6 pounds and have lost three whole inches off of my waist! As satisfying as it is to see the numbers on the scale go down, it's always been most important for me to lose the weight off of my belly. I mentioned before diabetes and heart disease run in my family, my Mum will soon be facing the loss of one of her legs due to diabetes. To have reduced my waistline by three inches in this short of a time seems nothing less than miraculous. The very best thing was my 11 year old son's comments to me the other morning. Every day before he leaves for school, he gives me a great big hug. The other day he said "Mum, you're getting smaller! Before you started your diet my arms came to here around you, now they come all the way to here!" He's such a little sweetheart, full of love and empathy, he actually sat down and read the book over the weekend! What 11 year old boy does that? He wanted to be supportive and understand what I was doing. Just this morning he said, "Only three more days till cycle two Mum!". My boys and husband are fantastic, the lights of my life.
It's that kind of support from my family, my friends and my online friends here that makes all the difference in the world. For those of you who are new, welcome! You will love this site, you'll laugh, you'll cry and you will learn so very much from all of the wonderful people here. Soon someone you love will put their arms around you and notice that there is less of you to hug physically too, and you'll be secure in the knowledge that the new healthier you will be around a lot longer to give and receive many, many hugs.

I wish I could hug your 11 year old son. To receive that comment from an 11 year old is so rewarding.
That is awesome!
He's adorable 1205wall, my little human measuring tape. IT ws one of those moments I wish I could freeze forever and bring back when he hits puberty and starts sighing and rolling his eyes every time I open my mouth! LOL! Teenagers, gotta love them - illegal to do what you'd really like to sometimes! I'm kidding, my teenager is totally awesome too, I've been very lucky with my kids.
Awesome! You are doing so Well. My 2 week mark ends tomorrow. So Wednesday morning I will see my total. I have been at 11.2 pounds for 2 days. I don't think I will see 16. You must be so proud of yourself!
