I Survived Meatloaf Night!!!

Just a quick update - I did manage to avoid the tempting meatloaf the other night - thanks for all your kind words of support!  I did not even have to use the clothes pin on the nose - I just toughed it out and ate my chicken breast and salad.  Best of all, the next morning I weighed in at 189.4!!!!  Under the 190 mark!  That alone has given me the inspiration I needed to double my efforts, stick with cycle one again and keep on going.  I'm hoping by the end of this round of cycle one I'll be down about 10 more pounds.

I've been on the 17DD since January 10th and did all the cycles exactly as set out in the book.  I slowed down a lot during cycle three and when that was done went back to a cycle two lifestyle, that was the cycle I liked best and I think I've gotten a bit too comfortable there.  So, time to shake things up and re-boot the metabolism again.  Hello chicken breasts, ground turkey and fish - again.  Luckily though, the spring weather and grilling season has opened up new recipe options for all of these items and I'm busy trolling the internet for interesting spice combinations to liven things up.  If I find a really good one, I'll be sure to post it.

Have a great day everyone!

Love, Lisa

Hey hey Writerchick hat's off to you on your success! But even more, wow congrats on your achievement at making it under the 190 mark, that's great! We've picked a good time to be doing this diet indeed with the spring and summer at our doorsteps. I can't wait for all the fresh produce. Good luck on your journey to re-booting :)))

Congratulations Lisa! That's so awesome that you were able to get through the night. Bet you are so proud of yourself! Congrats too for hitting the 180s. Such a long way off for me, but every pound is a step closer!  Keep on keeping on! Someone once told me to think of this phrase..."no food tastes as good as I FEEL" and that's how you must have felt this morning!

Congrats on your success!  It's exciting to see the numbers go down isn't it?!!  I am a newbie at the diet, this is day 3 for me and I've seen great results so far (down 4.2 pounds).  I understand about temptation...I have one of those husbands that can eat anything he wants and doesn't gain an ounce...very annoying by the way!  You should be proud of yourself that you were able to get through meatloaf night...I know...it can be so hard sometimes.  I look forward to reading more of your success stories...Good Luck!
