My huband and I are collecting items for the homeless boy's and girl's that live on the streets here in Utah.

You know I find it's the people with the less money who are willing to give.

My children have so much, our home is small and it feels like it's bursting at the seems with stuff.  This year I think instead of buying them a bunch of "Stuff" like we usually do since we don't have a lot of money this year I think I will give them money and let them buy gifts for someone less fortunate.  The angel tree is a great Idea, I'm sorry to sy I haven't done that in several years.  We did do a similiar project through our church, but now that the girls are older, they would probably enjoy getting to pick the age and/or sex of the child they are buying for.  My husband attends OSU in a scholl psychology program and the class usually adopts 2 children with learning disabilities, and lacking in income, and we all go buy for them.  There are so many good programs out there.  I also heard last year that you can go to the post office and get a "letter to Santa" froma needy child and can buy gifts for them, that's a nice idea too.  Thanks for writing this Blog, it gives me a lot to think about, and I hope everyone else can do something also.  Does anyone know of organizations that take gently used toys?  My children have a lot we need to donate, but I'd like them to go to someone who can use them, you know.  Besides, I'm tired of the clutter.
