With living in Minnesota I know about this.  Anyways I would say your best bet is to get candles, that have the repellent in them. I can't remember what they are called, but they work well. YOu can also get decorative torches that burn the same stuff and keeps the mosquitos away

Sheliah they only thing I can say is protect yourself with spraying your body with something that contains DEET.My hubby uses it for hunting.Also Avon has that product "Ever so soft"(something like that) people swear that it keeps the bugs off of you and it smells better....

Sheliah;Did you see the commerical where they have clip on bug repellent so you don't have to spray or put anything on your skin?I also saw it at Walmart today.It's made by Off.
