Healthy Diets on todays show

They made a very good point about parents setting and example to eating habits. But i think it is important to have a balance to eating. I did not agree with genetics does not play a part in our bodies. If I removed all the bad food in my house I would probably not have much left. Maybe i will use them up and then think about not buying more.LOL I hope everyone else is doing great on eating healthy.

I agree with you on both points. my daughter blames me on her unhealthy eating habits. truth be told, she's right! I have 2 older sisters who petite like my mother. My brother and I on the other hand are of big statuer. there is also  11 years between my sister and my brother, and I wonder if the foods we ate made a difference. when my sisters were young most stuff was home grown. when my brother and I came along more things were purchased. just a thought.

hi Sheila,

we are so lucky, I can remember a time when there was

no "fat free or "sugar-free. I eat what I want to a couple

days a week an the rest of the week everything else is

wheat pasta, salads, lots of fruit and.............water!

You can buy fat free chips, cookies, sugar free candy.

This food is not bad and you will adjust to eating it.

I have been on the kick five years. Be healthy, Karen

hello everyone, please take a little thought about the fat-free or sugar-free products out there, we are givin the notion that these products are better but, if you do a little reading you will see tons of chemicals and words i think people just make up:) in these products, for one, I was a big big diet pop drinker thinking hey no calories or sugar this is awsome, NOT! diet pops contain the chemical sweetener aspartame, from my readings when aspartame enters your body it becomes the chemical formaldehyde, and what is formaldehyde used for..... perserving bodies... yes bodies.. yay so now im drinking some chemical thats going to perserve the fat cells on my rump because i didnt want the calories or sugar... sheesh.. so my advice to you is trade up the sugar or fake sugars for organic ones like agave nectar or organic sugar in general. Agave nector is very low on the glycemic index so it wont make you crash and is safe for diabetics to use. reading the lables is knowlage knowlage is power, power is beautiful, and so are you, treat your body like it!
